Whitley Warriors coach Simon Leach has picked up a second player from north east rivals Billingham Bombers - who are unable to play for a couple of seasons due to refurbishment of the Forum ice rink - adding netminder James Flavell to his squad for the 2009/10 campaign.

I'm glad Liam's back for the new season, he played really well at the end of last season when Thomas was playing for GB. Welcome to Flav too, good signing Mr Leach!  Grin

I agree whole-heartedly about Liam.  He played some quite high-pressure games while Thomas was playing for GB and he was excellent.
Good news about Flavell too.  He's a good keeper and if he plays as well for us as he did for Billingham, then along with Liam, we'll have quite a strong force keeping nets next season.

I heard the same rumour about Skippy and i really hope its not true!  Skippy is a big part of the Warriors on and off the ice and he always makes time for fans, especially the youngsters.  He is one of the nicest lads on the team and i really hope he comes back next season.  Oh, and his hockey is not bad either  Cheesy Cheesy

Skips will be back, bigger, faster and better than ever  Wink.
He's one of those players who gives so much back to the club, always has time for a bit chat and takes a lot of time with the young'uns. No doubt the reason he is so well liked by us fans.

I so can't wait for the season to begin.

i agree what Warrior fan said about Skippy, even after i stupidly made some comments about him last year he still says hello when i see him, which shows what a great lad he is off the ice and on it he links up well with Nathan Taylor and Mark Good.

I presume they'll be on hand if one/both of the Flavell/Liam combo gets injured.
