The supporters club is trying to take a mini-bus to every away trip this season (numbers permitting) starting with Trafford Metros in Altrincham. this is our first game of the season and should prove popular for fans wanting to visit the new rink we have only previously played in once before.

anyone wishing to travel to the trip should pm me asap.

we are also looking for someone to drive the mini-bus as well so once again anyone interested please let me know.

What is the limit on numbers?  I may be interested in a seat.  Don't think the other half will be keen on chauffering me all the way to manchester and back  Cheesy

The way it stands no!! we need more people to want to go the games, so maybe you could twist some arms Leanne lol.

if we could get 15 people to go it would work out about £12.50 each, so obviously the more peole we get the better, if we only get about 10 people going your looking at £20 each!!

Failing that is anyone going to go by car, maybe we can get a car-sharing scheme going where by anyone planning on going posts on here how many spare seats they have and they can share the petrol money.

Come on people!!  Loads of people always ask if there is a bus going to away games and complain when there isn't (and i'm not just talking about people on here!), and no we're offering a bus to go to Manchester and there is no one to go on it.  The game is on a saturday aswell  and more people are ususally willing to travel on saturdays.
Come on, let's give the lads some away support, even more so at their first away game of the season.

If you've never been to an away game before,  Why not give it a try?  The lads need support even more when they're on the road and they really appreciate people giving up their time and spending their own money to go half-way down (or up) the country to watch them play hockey.

Could it be that the people who express interest aren't forum members? There is nothing up in the rink about away travel, perhaps a couple of notices at the entrance and in the cafe may attract supporters who do not read the forum, or even some new supporters?

Unfortunately I'll be traveling to Manchester from Luton so can't offer lifts for this one.

Thats a great idea.  As you say, we only really discuss away travel on here or on the supporters club page in the latch programmes.  So some posters around the rink would be a good idea, especially as this season we have 3 away game before we have a home game.
