This sunday we see the Telford Titans visiting Hillheads, and in the matchday programme will be a new feature. Look out for 'A view from Smoggyland'. This brand new feature gives an insight into how a Bombers fan views the Warriors

And if he goes off on a Teesside-type rant, as a resident of sunny Middlesbrough (not through choice), I may be able to translate. Failing that, ask Flav or Spike or Dowdy.  Cheesy

I understand where Mick is coming from regarding the noise.  At Hillheads not all of the people who are likely to make a noise sit together and yes there is a tendency for things to go quiet when things aren't happening on the ice.  When we used to travel away in the Heiniken era we would make a racket for the whole game, at home it was never quite the same.  I guess because you were always outnumbered you wanted to make your presence felt.

I also wish Hillheads was full every week and also cannot understand where the Whitley hockey fans have gone.  They are obviously still out there as we witnessed good turnouts for Simon's testimonial and the Durham v Whitley legends game.  It maybe has something to do with the level they are playing at now after years in the top flight and elite league hockey played in the same area.  Who knows for sure.  Mick I enjoyed your article and look forward to seeing the Bombers back on the ice soon.
