Following last night’s 3-3 draw away to Telford Titans, Whitley Warriors still have their English National League title hopes in their own hands; but know they must win all six remaining games to be certain the trophy will come to Hillheads.

alright time to make my ignorance public, how is this in our hands?  if we win all our games and nottingham win all theirs (apart from the remaining one against us) then we will be level on points, so how is the league decided, if its head to head then we come out on top, but if its goal difference then they are well ahead and it really isnt in our hands

It usually goes on results between the two teams, so unless soemthing has changed then I presume that's what's happening this year too.

Last year it was results between the teams and then goal difference - that's how we lost the league last year, Sheffield won it on a goal difference between us & them of +4.

So providing the rules haven't changed, it's results between us, then goal difference. This is where is gets tricky - currently the results are 1-1-1 and the goal difference is 0 (12-12).

So am i right in thinking that if we stay level with nottingham all the way til the end of the season, as long as we beat them up here on 7th march then we win the league? Because that'll mean we've played them 4 times, and won 2, drawn 1 and lost 1.    If thats not right then i cannot figure it out.  It took me days to come to that!  Cheesy Cheesy  Meaning if we win all our games including the nottingham one, we'll be level on points but we'll win the league cos of the results between the 2 teams??  Huh?
